- Bird- used to describe a female, usually of the youngerish variety.
- Pissed- Drunk
- Well- is often used in the place of "very" or "really." As in "That bird was well ugly." Or "He was well pissed at the pub last night."
- Chuffed- Pleased, happy. As in "He was well chuffed when the fit bird gave him her mobile number."
- Samey- When something is repetitive or boring. As in "That bloke with the one man band, his material all tends to be a bit samey."
- That is- used as an reaffirmation. Some people around here seem to reaffirm just about everything they say. As in "That's quite a nice cuppa, that is." Or "I told the chap where he could get off, I did." Or "I asked her number and she told me to sod off, she did."
- Cuppa- cup of coffee or tea. As in "Won't you come in for a cuppa?"
- Have a word with yourself- meaning think about the way you are acting, or think about what your saying. Must be said in a condescending fashion.
Most of the people that I'm around in Wales are actually English transplants, but when I was in the hospital many of the people that I was around were actually Welsh. A couple of their favorites that I noticed...
- Hellish- Can be used in several forms. As in "It was hellish trying to find a spot in the car park when I arrived at work this morning." Or "I got pissed at me mates flat last night and now I have a hellish hangover."
That's all for now.... more of those to come though.
